Our Mulled Wine Recipe

Step 1: Combine Ingredients

In a large saucepan or slow cooker, pour in the cans of Wine That’s Fruit. For a sweet mulled wine, we would recommend trying out our cheeky Blackcurrant Wine, then add your sliced orange and apple, cranberry juice, honey (or sugar), and all of those tasty spices.

Step 2: Heat

Mulled wine is the best when hot. Warming the mixture over a medium heat will help the spices and juices combine together and become a warming festive beverage. If you are using a slow cooker, keep it to low and avoid boiling your liquid. Our aim is to heat it gently and let the flavours meld together in the pan.

Step 3: Simmer

Good things come to those who wait. Allow your mulled wine to simmer for 20-30 minutes or longer if you would like. The longer you leave it, the stronger your brew will be. But we would recommend keeping an eye on the heat.

Step 4: Taste and Adjust

After simmering your mulled wine, you can add your honey and sugar. We would suggest tasting as you go, to ensure that you don’t make your mixture too sweet. If you fancy something a little more spicy, you can also add additional spices for even more flavour.

Step 5: Serve

Now for our favourite bit: serving! Ladle your warm mulled wine into mugs or heat proof glasses. You can garnish with a slice of orange or a festive cinnamon stick.
